DAVID BROCK GETS A FAIR SHAKE
IN THE BOSTON GLOBE

David Brock's latest book, "'Blinded by the Right: The Conscience of an Ex-Conservative," which is being savagely attacked by Brock's former conservative and right-wing allies (at least when it's not being ignored), earned a favorable review from John Aloysius Farrell in yesterday's edition of the Boston Globe.

Our favorite line: '' 'This is a terrible book,' Brock writes, with rare self-effacement. He's lying," says Farrell. " 'Blinded by the Right' is terrific. It's bitchy. Audacious. Malevolent. An indulging, mesmerizing treat."

That does it, we're ordering a copy for The Rittenhouse Review's library today!

[Full Disclosure: When our esteemed editor lived in Washington, D.C., he met Brock several times through mutual friends. They were casual acquaintances at best. However, for the record, TRR's editor adds: "I found Brock to be a charming, intelligent, witty, sophisticated, engaging, modest, unpretentious, attractive, and, yes -- decent -- man."]
