A NEW BLOG ON THE BLOCK
Hoeffel for Senate

Hey, there’s a new blog on the block, one run by Rep. Joe Hoeffel (D), the outstanding Pennsylvania congressman who will face with Rep. Patrick Toomey (R-Pa.) or the inexplicably incumbent Sen. Arlen Specter (R-Pa.) in the November election for U.S. Senate.

Today the blog features a fun idea: a drink-while-they-debate game, in a post written by blogger Adam Bonin, the Hoeffel campaign’s director of special projects.

Tomorrow night’s debate, the one and only appearance Prince Senator Specter will allow, will be carried live or delayed throughout the state (for local outlets and times, see Hoeffel’s blog).

I like Bonin’s idea, but, of course, the mere sight of Specter and the thought he’s been purporting to represent the people of Pennsylvania for the past 20 years is in and of itself enough to drive me to drink.
