A TRIVIAL ANSWER
To a Fleeting Question

There was a trivia question embedded in the "Friday Fun" post of October 8th, but it seems most readers missed or ignored it.

As noted then, a visitor to The Rittenhouse Review arrived at this site after entering into an internet search engine the following query: "self made millionaire, orphan at age 9, and u.s. president."

I was tempted to turn that query into a full-fledged contest with a prize and everything but opted against doing so, a decision that probably explains the few responses received in response to my remarks in the same post, "I know this one. Do you?"

Congratulations to reader R.B., Milwaukee, who two days ago submitted the first correct response: Herbert C. Hoover.

I guess it's time to reinstitute prize-giving.
