TALK AMONGST YOURSELVES
Thursday’s Child, Almost Wednesday

Surely you know this poem:

Monday’s Child is fair of face,
Tuesday’s Child is full of grace,
Wednesday’s Child is full of woe,
Thursday’s Child has far to go,
Friday’s Child is loving and giving,
Saturday’s Child works hard for a living,
But the Child that is born on the Sabbath Day,
Is witty and wise and good and gay!

I’m a Thursday’s Child, and God knows I have “far to go.” The funny thing is that I was born very early on a Thursday morning, so I almost was a Wednesday’s Child and thus “full of woe,” which also fits. And then, of course, there’s Sunday.

So, discuss amongst yourselves, in the comments section below: On which day were you born, and does the poem’s description fit? (If you don’t know the day on which you entered the world you can look it up here.)

[Post-publication addendum: My good and great friend, Mrs. Tarquin Biscuitbarrell, tells me in the comments section below there may be problems determining one’s birth day through the link provided above. Maybe try this?]
