QUOTE OF THE WEEK
Rep. Dennis Kucinich

U.S. Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) yesterday addressed the 2004 Democratic National Convention in Boston. The full text of Rep. Kucinich’s speech can be found at his former campaign web site:

Among much else, Rep. Kucinich told delegates, Democrats, American citizens, and people everywhere:

Iraq had nothing to do with 911 or with al Queda’s role in 911. There was no “gathering threat.” There were no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. […]

I tell you have seen weapons of mass destruction -- in our cities. Poverty is a weapon of mass destruction. Joblessness is a weapon of mass destruction, homelessness is a weapon of mass destruction, racism is a weapon of mass destruction, fear is a weapon of mass destruction.
